The idea behind the theme is simple, the super-villain, at his moment of triumph, in his lair, with the spoil and trophies of his victory on display.
The Red Skull is a classic villain of Marvel Comics of the Golden age to the Modern age he was a natural choice for this theme.
I was looking around the www.catskillcomics.com site and I saw a Red Skull head sketch that David did for site owner Scott Cress and I knew that he was the guy for the job. He took my suggestions and fulfilled and exceeded my every expectation.
It is only fitting that the "Skull's" trophies be skulls themselves.
