So many things had to go right to bring this piece into my collection. I had wanted a single perfect example from Romita Jr's time working on Daredevil. I REALLY wanted something with Williamson inks on them. They were such a great team on this character. Now if I could get their work on a cover from a series written by Frank Miller (who got me reading DD in the first place with issue #158 and on) I would be in heaven.
In the end, this piece, probably my ideal piece...and IMHO the best of all the covers from this mini-series came to me. I am beside myself I am so happy. It's the most life altering moment in Matt Murdock's life and is rendered to perfection. John Romita Jr., Al Williamson on a Frank Miller story...all rolled into one DD piece. Woooo!
