Bob Layton has been consistently creating solid pieces of art for decades. I have seen his new work, recreations and commissions for some time and looked for just the right piece to commission. I found my example in a cover that Mr. Layton did not work on originally but begged for his skills as a re-interpretation.
My request for this one was simple, take the basic concept of all the Iron Men flying at the reader and allow the artist to do whatever he wanted with it, change positions, change armors, alter perspective and Mr. Layton did not disappoint. This is one wonderful piece. The kind of piece that makes you wish Bob was always working on Iron Man. I know I would still be reading the book if he did.
